We have coordinated a number of volunteer oppotunities throughout the Niagara Region to take place over Reading Week in February as a way for students to give back to their local community during their break from classes.
All Brock student and staff volunteers are invited to participate
Brock Cares Alternative Reading Week, like our other Brock Cares initiatives, is a chance for Brock volunteers come together to contribute to the Niagara community by participating in service projects and volunteering at local not-for-profit agencies.
Brock Cares Alternative Reading Week Niagara 2013 began on Tuesday, February 19 and wrapped up on Friday, February 22nd. We sent 75 Brock student volunteers to 7 different project sites to work on a variety of projects including painting, helping with programming and planning, taking inventories and more!
Brock Cares: Alternative Reading Week takes place every Reading Week (exlcuding Family Day). You may sign up for one, two, three, or all four days of service! All volunteers must commit to attending the Pre-Week Meeting and are invited to take part in a Post-Week Celebration.
