Candice Boekestyn, a 4th year BA (hons) student in Speech and Language Sciences in the Department of Applied Linguistics, has won a 2011 McGraw-Hill Ryerson Student Scholarship Award. This puts her in an elite group of 20 students, selected nationally from over 500 nominations.
Nominations for this annual award are made by a professor from whom the student has taken a class during the year of nomination. Criteria for the award include demonstration of leadership in their course, especially in terms of integrity, engagement and drive. Well done Candice!
