Room Switch Policy
We understand that there will be times when students may be unhappy with their room assignment. Our goal is always to improve that situation. There are times when there is limited availability such is at the beginning of May. There are also additional costs associated with moving someone from one room to another since that room will go out of services so transfer fees may apply. Each request will be reviewed by the Summer Accommodation Coordinator and we will try to satisfy your needs.
1. Medical Reasons
The student should contact the Summer Accommodation Coordinator to explain the situation and outline exactly what kind of accommodation they are seeking to move to. Supporting documentation will be required from a medical professional. Students in this situation would be considered a high priority for a room switch.
2. Roommate Or Housemate Conflict
The student should try to mediate their situation by working things out. If the matter becomes to difficult to manage please contact the Summer Accommodation Coordinator to discuss the situation.
3. Simply Wants To Be In A Different Spot or to Swap
The student should contact Summer Accommodation Coordinator to explain the situation and outline exactly what kind of accommodation they are seeking to move to. When there is a group of students who wish to "swap" rooms, i.e. have a direct switch of rooms between known people, they can contact the Summer Accommodation Coordinator for advice.

Vallee 109 - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
Any available rooms will be assigned based on priority and date received, i.e. high priority will be assigned first, in order of date received. Issues of confidentiality dictate that the priority ranking of others will not be discussed with any student.
When Moves May Take Place
A date and time will be determined to make the move. If there is a room switching fee associated with the move it must be paid on the transition date and the transition must be complete (ie keys for the other room returned). If the keys are not returned then additional charges for the other room may be applied.
