Malaysian Ministry of Education - September 16, 2011

On September 16th, 2011 the Malaysian Ministry of Education's Matriculation division stopped at Brock University as part of their  first -ever tour of Canadian universities. 

The delegation was visiting Brock in order to get more information on  courses offered by the university, especially those in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics.

Delegates:

• Dr. Sariah Ab Jalil – Director of Matriculation Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia
• Dr. Zaidah Yazid – Senior Principal Assistant Director, Academic Sector Matriculation Division

Delegates met with several representatives from Brock University including Sheila Young, Director; Jodie Motwani, Events & Protocol Assistant, Brock International; Tanya Bhandari, International Market Relations; Leigh Pritchard, ESL Services; and Heather Hockridge, International  Admissions Officer.

Delegates then met with Dr. Rick Cheel,

Interim Dean, Faculty of Mathematics and Science;

  Dr. Costa Metallinos, Chemistry; Dr. Hichem Ben-El-Mechaiek, Mathematics; Dr. Al Castle, Biology; and Dr. Ed Sternin, Physics to learn more about the specific programs, followed by an in-depth tour of the Math & Science facilities and labs.
