Pre-Employment Workshops
The Co-op Programs Office takes great care to ensure you are prepared for the transition from school to the world of work. It is important that your first work term is one that builds your self-confidence and shows our corporate partners that Brock University co-op students are prepared to make an immediate contribution.
Part of our responsiblity is to understand the business and industry sectors you will be working in and to share that knowledge with you through a series of Pre-Employment Workshops. Sessions are facilitated by co-op staff and regularly feature employer representatives from various industries.
The workshop series for most co-op programs takes place in the fall of year two. Accounting students attend the workshop series in the winter term of year one. Please refer to the appropriate Undergraduate Calendar for sequencing of this course, as you will be required to register through BIRT.
This is a non-credit course but an essential part of your training while preparing for the co-op experience.
Workshops are mandatory and you are expected to attend all scheduled sessions.
