Marcia Jacklin

About Marcie

Marcie has worked in the James A. Gibson library since 1992. Her undergraduate degree is in Genetics so she is the Liaison Librarian for Tourism and the Environment, the Biological Sciences and related disciplines, CCOVI and Computer Science. She became interested in studying nature and in particular wild birds in the 1980’s and has participated and coordinated numerous surveys. Recently she wrote 4 articles for Niagara Birds, a book on the occurrence and abundance of wild bird species in the Niagara Region of Ontario.

image/png icon<b>How does librarianship/field ornithology relate to sustainability/ESRC?</b><br> As a Liaison Librarian I can consult with team members about research management and dissemination strategies. As a field ornithologist, my interest is to study how wild bird populations are impacted by climate change in the Niagara region.
