<b>How does being a map librarian relate to ESRC? </b> As a map librarian my role with ESRCwill be primarily as a resource person for information resources and GIS technology. My knowledge of geospatial data and geographic information systems will be used to enhance the teaching and research of ESRC members. My research involves using various geographic technologies to visualize research and digital information in many ways, from documenting historical records to detecting land use changes.
