Recreational Services for Grads
Brock Students automatically receive a "Basic" gym membership, which includes access to the aquatic centre, the gymnasia, track, squash and tennis courts. Registered Graduate students also have access to the "Zone" Fitness Centre, including use of all cardio and weight equipment, fitness classes and spinning classes. As well, grad students are entitled to an orientation to the Zone session with a certified personal trainer. This is booked in advance at the desk in the Zone. To access the Zone, please show your Brock University Student ID card at the Cage to get an identifying wristband each time you use the Zone. Library Resources for Grads
From resources such as Journal article databases and copying & printing services; to research assistance such as RACER Interlibrary Loan Service and RefWorks; the library has it! Every program has a dedicated librarian to assist - check for the Liaison Librarian for your program.
They also have a new study space designed exclusively for graduate students on the 6th floor of the Library. This research and study space includes 22 large study carrels and 2 computer workstations, accessible only by card swipe. There is also a bookable meeting/presentation room for up to 10 people. Go Transit Student Identification Cards
Discounted transportation is available, with this card, for full-time Graduate students (including Co-op) requiring transportation on the Go Transit System. It is applicable to the purchase of a 10-ride or a monthly pass, for one year, starting in September through October 31 of the following year. Applications can be obtained in the Graduate Student Association Office (MC C302) . The applications must signed by the University's authorized official in Faculty of Graduate Studies and then you can mail, or drop it off, at a Go Transit station for processing. You must allow two weeks for processing and mailing.
Free Tax Help
The GSA has a step-by-step Power Point presentation to help you prepare your own Income Tax return. Just follow the easy instructions provided in this presentation, using the free UFile software available through CFS, to prepare your taxes in no time.
Grad Photos
Luxart Studios will be on campus throughout the year taking grad photos. To make your grad photo appointment please go to www.brockgrads.ca. Dates are posted online as the year progresses.
