Walk of Life 2011 Summary [11]

What is the Walk of Life?

2, 4, 6 km Family Walk for the 4th Annual Brock University Heart Institute 'Walk of Life’

On Sunday, May 27th, 2012, Brock University Heart Institute will be participating in the national ‘Walk of Life’ event to raise funds to purchase equipment, provide for patient education, and allow for other essential materials and services.

The Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting cardiac rehabilitation and the advocacy of prevention and education across Canada. Their mission is to help cardiac rehabilitation programs across Canada. Over 30 centres will benefit directly from the proceeds of the 2012 WALK OF LIFE®. The advocacy of education & prevention of risk factors for cardiovascular disease is also promoted through four graduate scholarships, public health lectures and associations with other cardiac health related organizations.

The Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada signature National WALK OF LIFE Campaign raises funds for more than 35 cardiac programs across Canada.

When is the Walk of Life?
Sunday, May 27th, 2012 – Registration begins at 8:30 AM

Where is the Walk of Life?
The walk will take place at the Glenridge Quarry and all funds raised will go directly to the provision of services in our program. By participating in this national event, we will also receive support from the Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada (the sponsors of this walk) based on a percentage of what we are able to raise on our own. We need the generous support of the Niagara community to take full advantage of this opportunity.
