Panel and Workshop Proposals

Scholars can propose specific panel sessions or workshops around a topic (e.g., specific research topics or pedagogical and professional issues). A panel or workshop must be limited to a maximum of five individual papers. Proposals for panels and workshops should be submitted to the conference organizers via the conference email rather than to the conference website by June 30, 2011. Panel/workshop organizers should send the following items directly to FCVI@brocku.ca [1] as pdfs:

• 300-500 word description of the panel or workshop that outlines its goals and how it fits with the conference theme
• separate list of the proposed panel/workshop participants with their paper titles
• participants’ abstracts (maximum 300 words each; anonymous); please submit each as a separate pdf rather than collated into a single document
• current cv of all those involved in the panel/workshop: organizer(s), participants, and respondent (if applicable); this information is necessary for funding purposes only and will not be seen by the Program Committee.

Panel/workshop organizers are responsible for submitting all materials associated with their proposed session together and by the deadline for abstracts (June 30, 2011).
