Current Students
Academic Advisors - All students are strongly encouraged to see their academic advisors on a regular basis. This will ensure that program plans are completed with all requirements following all academic regulations. Students should plan to see advisors at least once each year during the time that it takes to complete their degrees. See the advisor contact list [1] for names and contact information.
Medical Form - If students miss a class or a course requirement due to a medical concern, they are required to provide documentation by obtaining the signed Student Medical Certificate [2] from their health care practitioner and providing it to the professor(s) concerned within three business days of the medical event. The Faculty of Social Sciences and Brock University are not responsible for any costs that are associated with obtaining this certificate from medical practitioners.
Student Awards - A variety of scholarships and bursaries are available to all students at Brock. All students are encouraged to pursue these awards in order to be recognized for their academic accomplishments, and to help finance the costs of higher education. Student Groups - There are many groups on campus for students. Joining a group is often a way that students find to balance their academic life with their social life. BUSU [4] has information about all of the groups for students. Student groups that are specific to students in the Social Sciences [5] are also available.
