The Power of One

The Power of One introduces elementary and secondary students to one significant work of art from Rodman Hall's permanent collection every year. The goal of this program is to promote appreciation and awareness of an outstanding local art collection, and to lead students in the development of skills to talk about and to create art. Each school in the DSBN will receive a colour reproduction of the work along with an activity guide explaining how to use the work in the classroom. Not just an inspiration for student artwork, The Power of One can also be used in a variety of creative cross-curricular ways.

This year The Power of One focuses on A. Y. Jackson's Laurentian Landscape (1953).

Teachers!
