The Certificate in Educational Studies is designed to enhance the understanding of students who are interested in Administration and Leadership in Education; Educational Inquiry; Social and Cultural Contexts of Education; and Teaching, Learning and Development. Successful completion will be credited as equivalency of a fourth year of undergraduate study upon completion of the following courses with a minimum 70% overall average:
Students interested in pursuing a Master of Education Degree are encouraged to chose certificate undergraduate courses from the corressponding:
Fields of Specialization:
Administration and Leadership - EDUC 3P70 and 4P70
Educational Inquiry- EDUC 4P03 and 4P80
Social and Cultural Contexts of Education- EDUC 3P40 and 4P35
Teaching, Learning and Development- EDUC 3F01 and EDUC 4P05 or 4P35.
Under exceptional circumstances, students may be required to complete alternate courses as identified by the Department. This program is open to applicants who have attained at least a 65% average in any 3-year undergraduate degree. Applicants whose first language is not English must provide Proof of Proficiency in English.
