The James A. Gibson Library is housed on eight floors of the Schmon Tower, the focal point of the campus. Its collection, numbering over 1 million items, has been selected to support the teaching and research programs of the university. All Joint PhD students have access to the Library and its resources.
Access to the collections is facilitated by the Library Catalogue available at workstations on each floor of the library. The Library Catalogue includes the holdings of the James A. Gibson Library, the Instructional Resource Centre, and the University Map Library. The Catalogue is through the library website.
Information about loan periods and fines is available on the Library website at http://www.brocku.ca/library/about-us-lib/policies/borrowing.

Graduate students are able to use their Brock University Identification card to borrow items directly from other Ontario university libraries, as well as other participating university libraries in Canada. These items may be returned to the lending library OR to any other university library.
