Typically, 10 core and three context credits are required for the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours) degree.

PLUS 3 context credits
In compliance with Brock University expectations, all applicants must complete three university level introductory full-credit (or equivalent) context courses, one in each of the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences upon degree completion (BECE). Please note the following context requirement studies restrictions:
- One of the introductory level studies courses must satisfy the Humanities context credit requirement (e.g., ENGL 1F91; CANA 1F91; for complete listing of context credits see Brock University Undergraduate calendar)
- One of the introductory level studies courses must satisfy the Science context credit requirement (e.g. BIO 1F25; GEOG 1F91; for complete listing of context credits see Brock University Undergraduate calendar).
- Students are strongly recommended to consider an English context credit course in partial satisfaction of the above stated requirements.
