« Le choix de la langue dans la construction des publics en France à la Renaissance », Brock University, June 23-25 2011.
« Le choix de la langue dans la construction des publics à la Renaissance en France » (« The Choice of Language in the Construction of Publics in the French Renaissance ») is a one time international conference co-organized with the University of Lyon 2 (GRAC, UMR 5037). The goal of this conference is to create a forum for sixteenth century specialists to discuss the role of language in the shaping of new audiences in the French Renaissance, exploring the hypothesis that the use of language (or languages) in the age of printing contributed to making publication a conflicted process, which was in turn echoed in the many appeals made to various readerships built into books.
