What’s Your Next Step? - Career and Post-Graduate Expo!
Career Services will be hosting the annual Career and Post-Graduate Expo on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013.
There will be approximately 100 exhibitors representing post-graduate institutions, employers and non-profit organizations attending this trade-show style event. Recruiters are eager to network and engage with Brock students, graduates and alumni. It’s a one stop shop for students, graduates and alumni to learn about full and part-time employment, post-graduate education, international opportunities, professional development and volunteer positions.
The Career & Post Graduate Expo provides a valuable link between a student’s education and career goals by providing them with the opportunity to make connections. This event is an excellent opportunity for you to network and build relationships with employers, determine prospective areas of employment and post-graduate studies and gain a sense of community awareness from non-profit organizations.
**New this year - we are hosting "Condensed Circuit Interviews" at the event in partnership with Mentorship Plus. Students must register for Condensed Circuit Interviewing separately from the Career Expo registration on CareerZone. Also, there will be a LinkedIn Photoshoot, with Lori D Photography, for the first 300 students who attend the Expo, but also sign up at their booth. Students will be able to have a professional picture taken for their LinkedIn Profile.
Many students on campus have recognized their career goals by participating in the Career & Post Graduate Expo as well as other career related events held in previous years. An employment offer may not be the sole purpose for you attending the Career & Post Graduate Expo. The process of preparing for career-related events, researching various companies, revising your resume, practicing interview skills, and meeting potential employers are all valuable opportunities and learning experiences. Having you participate in these activities will ensure you to be a more qualified candidate.
