Brock Kinesiology prof's research featured in the documentary film ‘Outside the Ring’

Brock Kinesiology professor Cathy van Ingen’s research is featured in the documentary film ‘Outside the Ring’ screening at three upcoming film festivals in Toronto.

Outside the Ring documents a unique violence recovery program in Toronto for female and trans survivors of violence.

The film explores what happens when you bring survivors of violence together into a boxing gym.

Outside the Ring premiered in New York in December and is premiering in Canada at the Canadian Sport Film Festival on May 18th at 12 noon at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto.

The film will also screen June 1 at 5:15 pm at the Inside Out Film Festival and has also been accepted in the Documentary Short category for the Toronto International Film and Video Awards.
