Mary Gene Saudelli completed her Ph.D. in 2011 and is the Director of the Brock University, Faculty of Education Reading Clinic, an instructor in Adult Education, Department of Teacher Education and Graduate programs. Her research interests focus on cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity, community initiatives, reading, multimodality and multiliteracies in relation to digital worlds, curriculum, and teaching and learning in diverse contexts. Her research perspective emanates from observations of curriculum and pedagogy in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia where she lived, taught, and researched for many years prior to returning to Canada. She has published in the Canadian Journal of Education, the Journal of Reflective Practice, and the International Journal of Research in Education. Recently, she has presented her research at conferences at Harvard University, Dubai Women’s College, and Concordia University.
