Published on October 02 2012
As part of the 2012 steering comittee, Recreation and Leisure Studies professors Martha Barnes, Erin Sharpe and Dawn Trussell have helped develop an event in coordination with the City of Welland and Niagara College.
The event is a one-day dialogue on current issues surrounding citizen engagement in recreation, including an update from the 2012 National Recreation Summit and stories about local initiatives in community development.
This workshop is designed for those who work in and contribute to the recreation sector in Niagara. Managers, supervisors, coordinators, front line staff, students and volunteers in the private, public, and non-profit sectors are all welcome.
