First Recipient of Scholarship for Children of Migrant Workers

Published on June 15 2012

Sayuri Gutierrez is the first recipient of a new scholarship for the children of migrant farm workers.  This unique scholarship was created by Brock and its partners to pay the cost of tuition and living expenses for children of migrant workers in the Region.  The immigration status of her family was recently jeopardized when her father became ill.  However, after reconsidering the family's situation, Immigration Canada will allow them to stay in the country and Sayuri will now be joining Brock this fall.
