Dr. Erin Sharpe, in the Department of Recreation & Leisure Studies, awarded 2012 Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award

Dr. Anna Lathrop, Associate Dean, Undergraduate Studies Faculty of Applied Health Sciences is very pleased to announce that Dr. Erin Sharpe, in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, has been awarded the 2012 Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Sharpe's areas of teaching expertise include outstanding community outreach, exceptional undergraduate and graduate student mentorship, a commitment to internationalization, educational leadership and scholarship in the field of teaching and learning.

Special thanks to the members of the adjudication committee who dedicated a significant amount of their time to the review and deliberations that were a part of this decision. This year the pool included four exceptionally strong nominations.

Dr. Anna Lathrop would also like to thank those who allowed their name to stand in nomination, and, for their nominators who also invested time on behalf of their colleagues.
