5 Days for the Homeless raises dollars, food and awareness
Published on March 20 2012
The Brock 5 Days for the Homeless team spent 5 nights living on the streets. No home, no bed, no showers, no smart phones. What they got in return was priceless. The Brock team raised $2147 and 725 pounds of food for Community Care. More importantly, they raised awareness of a serious issue. Not only do they personally have a much greater understanding of homelessness, they have brought greater awareness to their fellow students and members of the community.
5 Days for the Homeless is part of a broader initiative organized by University students across Canada.
