Volunteers Needed: School Scapes Eco Workshop

Published on March 09 2012

Do you enjoy working with children and want to gain experience in the classroom? Are you interested in preparing educational materials for children?

Climate Action Niagara (CAN) is looking for volunteers to assist with the School Scapes Eco Workshops. CAN is a non-profit organization that provides education and action opportunties for issues related to climate change.

Volunteers are needed on March 14, 15 and 22 during business hours to help prepare programming materials (worksheets, activities) for young children. Climate Action Niagara is located downtown St. Catharines at 111 Church Street.

Volunteers are also needed in the classroom to assist running the School Scapes Eco Workshops. On various dates in March and April, volunteers will be given the opportunity to interact with students through teaching about the environment and leading classroom activities (on soil studies and water conservation). Transportation will be provided to the various school workshops.

If you are interested in participating or want more information about the volunteer opportunities for the School Scapes Eco Workshops, please contact Jane at info@climateactionniagara.ca.
