Loonie Mile results for East African Famine
Published on November 26 2012
On Wednesday, September 21, 2011 Brock International conducted a Loonie Mile with all proceeds going towards the East African famine relief fund. A Loonie Mile is designed to create a "mile" of loonies along the floor. It was held in front of the fishbowl in the Computer Commons corridor.
Volunteers collected, toonies, loonies, quarters, nickels and dimes in attempt to line the hallway. On top of change, there were also generous contributors who donated 5 dollar bills! The final tally for donations was $78. 61. There will be continued change jars across campus. Thank you to all those who supported and continue to support this great cause!
