4th Annual Concurrent Education Conference a Sold-Out Success

Published on March 29 2011

The Faculty of Education would like to congratulate Associate Professor Ann-Marie DiBiase and the students in the Concurrent Education Council (Jaclyn Peluso and Jenn Garbett, Conference organizers; Nicole Ashbee and Lauren Soluk Council Co-Presidents; Jordan Tucker, Senior Events Coordinator and all the members of the Concurrent Education Council) who worked together to organize the highly successful (and sold-out) 4th Annual Concurrent Education Conference. Held on Saturday, March 26th at Brock University, this year’s conference focused on “The Mosaic of Teaching and Learning.”

Thanks also to Professor Nancy Gallagher for the closing address; to Kelly Dear for the opening address; to 2 MEd graduates: Helen Zdriluk and Bryce Honsinger for their interesting and engaging sessions; and to Julia Myer from The Right to Play, and Paul Hatala from the Hamilton Wentworth School Board, for their interactive and equally entertaining sessions.

The Brock Concurrent Education Council strives to connect Concurrent Education students of all years and majors together. The Council plans a variety of social events, provides educational and professional development opportunities, shares successes and a variety of stories in The B.Ed Post.
