Stock-market simulator to generate funds for charity

Published on February 01 2011

A Brock University student business club is banking on a big return for charity through a virtual stock-market challenge.

From February 28-April 8, The Brock Finance and Investment Group will be hosting its second annual Investment Challenge for Charity - an online trading competition to benefit needy children in Niagara.

Contestants can register now for an opportunity to learn about how to invest and trade through an online, real world stock simulation.

There are 5 Grand prizes for the top 5 winners, 6 weekly prizes for the best weekly gainers, and a pledge prize to the individual who gains the most financial support.

60% of the proceeds will be donated to BFIG’s Children's Fund with the Niagara Community Foundation.

Check out BFIG's facebook page for more information.  Or go to their website for information and to register.
