Caution advised after jogger confronted on Hydro Road

Campus Security officials are advising the Brock community to take precautions after a lone female jogger was reportedly confronted by a male on Friday afternoon Oct 1.

The female escaped unharmed and alerted Campus Security.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on an isolated stretch of Hydro Road, behind Village Residences. This road runs east and west along the south border of the campus.  

Niagara Regional Police and Campus Security Services are continuing their investigation into the incident.

The Brock community is advised take precautions and avoid isolated outlying areas around the University.  As always, persons should avoid travelling alone, and if assistance or escort is required they should contact Campus Security at 905-688-5550 x3200. There are more than 100 emergency telephones throughout the campus, many of them in parking lots and open areas.
