"Lost" Booker Prize Awarded to Author JG Farrell

Books published in 1970 (previously excluded due to a change in rules) had a second chance at one of the most prestigious literary awards this year.  JG Farrell's novel Troubles received the prize on May 19.  The late novelist's work is set in Ireland in 1919 and details the struggle for Irish independence.  Read more about the prize.
