BaseCamp - The adventure before the adventure!

Published on May 20 2010

The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences is camping in the great outdoors, and exploring Ontario’s natural wonders.

This upcoming year we are offering our incoming first year students a fun way to meet people and learn about what being a student in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences at Brock is all about.

Brock BaseCamp (BBC) offers canoeing and backpacking trips for incoming undergraduate students during August.

  • BBC trips are five days long and are led by current Brock students and alumni.
  • The program is coordinated by Brock faculty and staff with extensive outdoor experience.
  • Each trip includes up to 7 students and 2 leaders and provides a great chance to meet a diverse group of classmates.
  • Registration for these trips begins June 1.

Check out the Brock BaseCamp Web Site

Note that this year the Brock BaseCamp program is only available to incoming first year students in Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, but it is our hope to be able to open this program to all incoming Brock first year students in future years.
