Mary Breunig wins the Student Award for Teaching Excellence!

Congratulations go out to Mary Breunig in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies on being the first ever winner of the Faculty Student Award for Teaching Excellence.
2010 is the inaugural year for this honour - the first teaching awards driven and selected by students at Brock University.
According to the Brock University Student's Union (BUSU) Press release:
The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, Student Award for Teaching Excellence is awarded to Assistant Professor Mary Breunig in the Department of Recreation and Leisure. Mary “is a professor that motivates, inspires and encourages students to succeed,” with a “unique style of teaching where she helps us learn through experience” Mary also takes her own initiative to “hold fun events for us outside the classroom, like taking students rock climbing or ice climbing.”
