Program Description:
This degree prepares you for an exciting career in computer technology by tackling computing from the hardware perspective. If you like math and physics, love to think, and have an urge to take apart your computer to figure out how it works, this cutting-edge program is right for you. The program emphasizes practical aspects of computing and the use of computer-based and other solid-state electronic devices in control, manufacturing and research. You’ll acquire the skills needed to meet real-world challenges of new technologies in our world and workplaces. We’ll make sure you have a head start on your career by building in first-hand experience with the opportunity to participate in a summer internship work placement, or the Co-op option. 

The Computing and Solid-State Device Technology Co-op program allows you to combine academic and work terms and gain valuable work experience. As a co-op student, your degree will be completed over four and one-half years and will include three work terms. You’ll complete four academic terms prior to your first work placement.

• VoIP (Voice-over Internet Specialist)
• digital TV technologist

Entrance Requirements:
ENG4U, SPH4U, MHF4U or MCV4U (min. 70%).
Expected Cut-off:
Mid 70s
