Research Interests
Analytical Chemistry, Arsenic Speciation Analysis in Biological and Environmental Systems,
Chemical Education Research, Chemistry Outreach Program
I am interested in exploring different teaching methods and assessing the effectiveness of teaching interventions. I am particularly interested in blended learning (flipped/inverted classroom model), guided inquiry learning, and using mobile devices to increase interaction and to engage students in a classroom setting. In addition to my passion in teaching, I am also very interested in chemistry outreach to elementary schools, high schools, and the general public.
I welcome undergraduate student to take on a research project with me in the field of chemical education. I am currently accepting students in CHEM 2P98 (Undergraduate Research) and CHEM 3P98 (Undergraduate Research Project) in the Fall/Winter semesters. If you are interested, please email me at and I will be glad to meet with you and discuss potential projects.
CHEM 1F92: Chemical Principles & Properties
CHEM 2P42: Introduction to Analytical Chemistry
