Leonard Fung (冯浩机) Won Confucius Institute Scholarship
Leonard Fung (冯浩机), a candidate recommended by confucius Institute at Brock University, won the 2013 Confucius Institute Scholarship.
In order to support the development of Confucius Institutes, facilitate Chinese language promotion and Chinese cultural transmission in the world, cultivate qualified Chinese language teachers and talented students of Chinese language, Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) launches this “Confucius Institute Scholarship” program to provide financial aid for students, scholars and Chinese language teachers worldwide to proceed to a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
Leonard Fung is currently working in CIBC. He was graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University ( 2006 – 2010) and he won Bachelor of Business Administration with Major in Finance and Minor in Economics. He successfully applied for one year scholarship for Chinese language learning in Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology.
Leonard Fung is a Canada-Born Chinese. He got his first Chinese lesson from his father with Chinese classic novels, the Journey to the West and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. He applied for the scholarship for two reasons, to be embraced by his Chinese culture origin and to attain a global vision.
