Years with FIL:
This is my first year with Foundations in Leadership! Foundations in Leadership can be such a great learning experience for all who take the course. It is offered not only to students but faculty and all those in the Brock community. The sessions impact one self not only through the exercises however with the connections you make with your fellow classmates.

2nd Year Concurrent Education J/I - English Major Hometown: Just outside of London, ON Before attending Brock, I was a member of my highschool Student's Council from Gr. 9 through to Gr. 12. In Gr. 12, I was so excited when I was elected as the President of the Student's Council. I also got involved in Peer Tutor during highschool and I absolutely loved it - my experience as a tutor really reinforced for me that teaching was exactly what I hoped to do in my future! Also while in highschool, I had the oppourtunity to be involved with multiple Leadership Conferences throughout Ontario. In my hometown, I was involved with the Interact Club (Youth Rotary Club) and held the position of Secretary. During my 1st Year at Brock, I was briefly involved with the Residence Action Council (RAC) and helped to organize the November event in 2010. Fun fact: I had the opportunity to travel to Italy and Greece when I was in Gr. 11. It was one of the most incredible things I have ever done, and they are two of the most beautiful places I have ever been! Years with FIL: Since October of 2010 The Foundations in Leadership Practicum Series is a great way for individuals to begin developing or improve upon their leadership skills. It's a great way to to get involved with the Brock community and a fun way to meet other Brock students! :)

Foundations is a great opportunity for individuals to network with other leaders in the Brock community, gain insight knowledge how about to be a more effective leader and learn tools that will help you have more positive interactions with people currently in your life and those people you have yet to meet. Finally Foundations provides you with the foundation of skills needed to be successful in school, your career and your life.
