Experience The World Outside The Formal Classroom

International Services has developed short-term programs to provide enriching educational experiences for students.  These programs will encourage intercultural and international understanding, foster students’ leadership and personal development and provide students with a meaningful opportunity to interact with university staff and faculty outside the formal classroom. 


1. Brock Abroad: Namibia

Experience Africa like never before! This program provides you with the opportunity to work alongside native Namibians in various community projects and experience the country's natural beauty through weekend excursions. You will come away with a greater appreciation for the land, its wildlife, people and culture all in just 3 weeks!

2. Alternative Reading Break

Looking to spend your Reading Break abroad? This program provides you with the opportunity to travel AND participate in meaningful hands-on service learning projects! The 2015 program will bring you to El Salvador where you will work with a family to help them build a home and strengthen their community through Habitat for Humanity

3. Solidarity Experiences Abroad

Explore social justice through a series of volunteer placements and community development in a variety a Latin American destinations. Through this program experience you will develop a deeper sense of global awareness and a greater inspiration to develop your personal career goals.
