On January 1, 2010, Växjö University and Kalmar University will be merging to form Linnaeus University.
Linnaeus University will have two campuses, one in Kalmar and the other in Växjö. While students can choose between either campus, it is not recommended that you study at both campuses in the same term as they are over an hour apart by train. Any extra travel expenses, such as a train pass would be the responsibility of the student.

The courses that are taught at Linnaeus University are taught in a mixture of Swedish and English. However, you will find that the Växjö campus in particular will offer a wide variety of courses that are taught in English, so there are plenty of courses to choose from.
*Note: Courses that are level 1 are for undergraduates and courses that are level 2 are for graduates. Please only select courses that are of level 1 status, as the courses are mixed when listed.
Some of the course highlights at the Växjö campus are:
The Autumn Term (Brock’s Fall Term) usually starts in late August and ends in mid-January.
The Spring Term (Brock’s Winter Term) usually starts in mid-January and ends at the beginning of June.
All exchange students are guaranteed accommodation on the condition that the accommodation section of the online exchange application is completed. Accommodation is payable to Växjö University.
