The application process requires a student to submit a completed exchange application to International Services & Programs Abroad (International Centre, Room 210). All students who meet the application requirements will be interveiwed by the exchange committee.
Students typically apply in their second year and spend their third year of their undergraduate program abroad. However, it is possible to go on exchange for the first semester of your fourth year but students must return to Brock for at least one semester before graduating in order to complete their degree.
A completed application consists of the following:
- Outbound Exhcange Application
- Two academic references
- References must be from Brock professors that have taught you; teaching assistants are not acceptable.
- A minimum 70% average when applying
- A one-page typed statement of purpose giving your reasons for wanting to go on exchange
- $20 application fee

On completion of your degree, having an exchange experience on your CV/resume will be attractive to employers; discovering a different culture, travelling, making new friends and learning a foreign language will foster your maturity, confidence, and self-reliance.
Contrary to popular belief, another language is not always required as many of our partner institutions now teach in English. Students are able to study in Finland, Sweden, Korea, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Estonia and Japan IN ENGLISH!
