International Admissions Criteria

Brock University welcomes students from around the world, and encourages applications from a variety of academic backgrounds. International students may apply for September entry only in order to be considered for all academic programs, scholarships and guaranteed residence. Applications and all supporting documentation should be submitted no later than April 1, as program availability cannot be guaranteed after this date. Language Requirements

If English is not your first language, you will need to provide proof of your English language abilities.
Brock’s Intensive English Language program (IELP) Completion of Level 5 equivalent
English language school system Minimum three years of full-time study where the primary language of instruction and evaluation was English
Brock’s International Test of English Language Proficiency (ITELP) Score of 565 or greater (minimum composition of 240)
TOEFL IBT Score of 88 or greater (minimum 21 on speaking and writing)
IELTS Score of 6.5 or greater (no band below 6.0)
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Completion of the program where English was the language of instruction
In addition to one of these, you must also complete ENG4U (or equivalent if out-of-province) if it is required for your program. Brock University reserves the right to request more information regarding English proficiency test score results. Students may be required to sit for the Brock International Test of English Language Proficiency (ITELP) at the University.
