E-mail Server Information
If you are setting up an e-mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) on your computer, it is vital that you know the server that you are connecting to. Below is a list of mail servers and the name for each:

| Incoming IMAP server port number (TLS) | 143 |
| Outgoing mail server (SMTP) | smtp.brocku.ca |
| Outgoing SMTP server port number (TLS) | 587 |
| Students (Badger) | |
| Incoming mail server (IMAP) | badger.ac.brocku.ca |
| Incoming IMAP server port number (TLS) | 143 |
| Outgoing mail server (SMTP) | smtp.brocku.ca |
| Outgoing SMTP server port number (TLS) | 587 |
PLEASE NOTE: Some software can’t handle TLS and will require ports 993 (IMAP) and 465 (SMTP). For Outlook 2011 use SSL and port 993 for incoming; and use SSL and port 587 for outgoing.
