Dialup Information

Brock offers dialup service to faculty and staff (Spartan e-mail users). For setup instructions, follow the instructions below:

 
Setup for Windows XP
A step by step guide on how to setup Brock Dialup for Windows XP is listed below.
  • Go to the Control Panel (From Windows, click Start then Control Panel)
  • Double click on the Network Connections icon
  • Under the File menu, click on New Connection
  • When the New Connection Wizard opens, click Next
  • Select Connect to the Network at my Workplace and click Next
  • Select Dial-up connection and click Next
  • For company name input 'Brock University' and click Next
  • For phone number input '9056884321' and click Next
  • Click Finish
To login to Brock Dialup, you will use your e-mail login and password.
Note: This service is only available to Brock faculty and staff
 
Setup for Windows Vista

Instructions on setting up Brock Dialup for Windows Vista is listed below.

  • Go to the Control Panel (Start and then Control Panel)
  • Click on Control Panel Home (top left side of the screen it should show Control Panel Home highlighted) and click Network and Internet
  • Click on Network and Sharing Center
  • In the left panel, click on ‘Set up a connection or network’
  • Click on ‘Set up a dial-up connection’ and click Next
  • In the ‘Dial-up phone number:’ field enter 9056884321
  • In the username and password field, use your Spartan e-mail login and password
  • Change the ‘Connection name’ to Brock Dial-up
Note: This service is only available to Brock faculty and staff
 
Setup for Mac OS X

The following instructions are for setting up Brock Dialup on Mac OS X:

  • Go to System Preferences (Apple -> System Preferences)
  • Click on Network
  • Then click on Internal (or External) Modem
  • Click on Configure
  • Input the Account Name (Portal login), password and telephone number (905-688-4321)
