Training Sessions

The Positive Space Campaign Committee endeavours to offer workshops at a variety of dates and times in order to best accommodate all community members.

St. Catharines Campus Workshops

The 2013 Winter workshop dates are:

• Wednesday, January 30, 2013: 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
• Monday, February 25, 2013: 2 - 4 p.m.
• Thursday, March 14, 2013: 1 - 3 p.m.

To register for a workshop, simply email us at positivespace@brocku.ca with the date you wish to attend. Workshops are open to all interested Brock community members - faculty, staff and students.

Hamilton Campus Workshops

The 2012/13 workshop dates for Hamilton Campus are:  January 29 and 30, 2013 for secondary teacher candidates and February 14, 2013 for elementary teacher canditates.

To register for a workshop, please Dr. Julian Kitchen at jkitchen@brocku.ca for information and registration for workshops at the Hamilton Campus. Workshops are open to all interested Brock community members.

This two-hour interactive workshop will provide participants with the knowledge and comfort to become a "positive space" on campus and earns a postcard and/or button to designate yourself as a Positive Space. The workshop is free of charge and all are welcome to attend — faculty, staff and students, members of the LGBTQ community and allies. Students, you can include Positive Space Training on your Experience Plus transcripts.
