Job Summary
Reporting to the Chair, you will provide reception and information for students as the first level of contact, which includes follow-up calls, email, and basic information regarding the program and/or placement process. Duties will include: support for clinical placement process and clinical courses that includes data input; clinical requests, filing; follow-up phone calls; clinical instructor evaluation process; preceptor appreciation and pinning ceremony; and support for Year 1 student orientation and Year 3 Loyalist student orientation and transfers. You will be responsible for collating, entering, tracking and maintaining non-academic clinical requirement dates; mask fit testing; immunizations; CPR and WSIB data summary; entering graduating student exit survey data and clinical site evaluation data into SPSS; and computing and reporting descriptive statistics. Other related duties as required by the Chair and Nursing Practicum Coordinator will be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
-Related post secondary courses in computer applications and other administrative functions
-Previous experience in an administrative role
-Previous experience with database management and data analysis skills (i.e. use of SPSS)
-Extensive experience with computers, other office equipment and records management.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets, database maintenance, generating reports, e-mail, web applications and the internet are required
-Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential to your success in this role
