Reporting to the Director, Recruitment and Retention, the successful candidate will join a dynamic team responsible for the University’s undergraduate recruitment strategy and will participate in all related recruitment activities. The Recruitment/Liaison Officer will plan, research, write/update, edit and coordinate the production of various print and web-based recruitment resources. This position will work with other University departments to develop creative concepts and messaging while ensuring brand standards, budgets and objectives are met within given timelines. The incumbent will also represent Brock University at key recruitment events such as Fall Preview Day, Open House, the Ontario Universities’ Fair and school fairs necessitating occasional travel throughout Ontario (resulting in irregular hours) primarily September through December.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A University degree;
• An evident love of Brock and thorough knowledge of Brock’s undergraduate programs and services;
• Exemplary research, writing/editing skills;
• Proven project leadership;
• Ability to work within a team and independently;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office in a Mac environment;
• Valid drivers license;
• Basic graphic design skills (Adobe InDesign and Photoshop) and proficient public speaking skills are an asset.
