Job Summary

The Department of Kinesiology at Brock University invites applications for a probationary tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of physical and health education.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment and will have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching. Postdoctoral training and demonstrated success in securing research funding would be advantageous. Duties will include undergraduate teaching in physical education, as well as graduate teaching and graduate supervision. Applicants must possess expertise in physical education pedagogy, and an ability to demonstrate this expertise in movement settings. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and the potential to initiate and maintain an independent research program are requirements. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Department of Kinesiology has 28 full-time faculty members and approximately 1000 full-time undergraduate students and 50 full-time graduate students.
