Health and Well-being
The World Health Organization defines health as "a state of complete physical, social and mental well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". Brock University is committed to provide leadership and resources to assist its employees in the achievement of their personal health, the development of healthy lifestyles and the maintenance of a vital community by promoting spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual, physical, occupational and environmental health. Human Resources and Environment, Health & Safety has primary responsibility for the implementation of this goal.
Human Resources and Environment, Health & Safety formed the Health and Wellbeing Advisory Committee in 2004 as an ongoing initiative to promote personal health, healthy lifestyles and to maintain a vital community by promoting the seven elements of health and well-being.
