GSA Conference Funding Assistance - Up to $100 per conference attended, can be granted, after exhausting other options. Deadline is Monday, Dec 7/09

YORK SOCIOLOGY GRADUATE STUDENT CONFERENCE MARCH 11-12, 2010 
CALL FOR PAPERS! INHERITING HISTORIES, IMAGINING FUTURES: THE PROMISES AND PERILS OF MOVEMENT

The York Sociology Graduate Student Association invites you to participate in their 11th annual conference exploring the different conceptual, theoretical, and methodological understandings and practices of movement and movements.  It is an interdisciplinary conference on social theory, methods, and empirical research that provides a space and opportunity for graduate students and faculty from a wide range of disciplines to discuss and present their work and research.  They welcome proposals for papers on these and other interpretations of movement.  Submissions should include: Title and abstract (no more than 200 words), Format of Presentation, and Requests for audiovisual equipment.  Please send submissions to possibilitiesofmovement@live.com by December 20,2009.  For further details please contact our office at gsaoffice@brocku.ca.

U-PASS

The U-Pass will be distributed by BUSU. 
Passes are available at the BUSU office in the student alumni building. 
Students will only be issued a U-Pass if they have been charged the U-Pass fee.

HEALTH & DENTAL PLAN

The blackout period is now over.  You can visit the Greenshield website at www.greenshield.ca/studentcentre to print your ID card.  If you have receipts for any expenses incurred between Sept 1/09 and now, you can print a claim form and follow the instructions to obtain your refund.
