Graduate students and Accessibility Planning at Brock

Brock University is committed to being a leader in accessibility for persons with disabilities.

The graduate community has a part to play in ensuring that Brock meets or exceeds provincial accessibility standards, and, particularly in providing accessible service.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies encourages all graduate students to become aware of accessibility and of accessibility practices and services.

There are a few things that you can do:

• Start off by completing the Council of Ontario Universities Accessibility Tutorial (AODA).
This online training is divided into three modules, which are directly related to sections of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
The modules are as follows:
     Module 1 - Understanding the AODA and the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service
     Module 2 - Communicating with Customers with Disabilities
     Module 3 - Serving Customers with Disabilities
The tutorial takes approximately one hour to complete. There is a significant educational value to this e-learning course. Students who complete the tutorial may request an AODA completion certificate by emailing accessibility@brocku.ca
