Eighth Annual Mapping the New Knowledges Graduate Student Research Conference

Plan to be part of the eighth annual celebration of graduate student research and scholarship
The annual showcase of graduate student research and scholarship will feature oral and poster presentations, the 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) Contest, and the presentation of the Graduate Mentorship Awards.
“Mapping the New Knowledges is a central component to the University’s declared vision and contributes to the crossing of disciplinary boundaries for faculty and students on many levels each year,” says Mike Plyley, Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Part 1: Research Café I, Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, “Mapping Your Future”
A panel shared their stories about the journey from graduate studies to careers, and the opportunities and challenges they found along the way.
Part 2: Research Café II, Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, “Environmental Sustainability in a Changing Climate”
Brock’s Environmental Sustainability Research Centre (ESRC) is on the front line, nationally and internationally, connecting with industries, communities and government to look for answers and to create strategies to address pressing environmental challenges. The panel provided a glimpse into the ESRC’s work to facilitate society’s transition to sustainability.
