IN THE NEWS: Justin Carré, PhD candidate in Psychology, appeared in the Globe and Mail’s “Jockology” column on Feb. 18. He discussed his 2006 study of Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League players showing that hometown advantage in sports may have more to do with hormones than an enthusiastic crowd . BREAKING THE SILENCE: Po-Ling Bork, a doctoral candidate in Educational Studies at Brock, and Debra Harwood, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Education, will lead a workshop on selective mutism at the Early Childhood Community Development Centre on March 30.
